This weekend, Sydney saw City2Surf: a 14km run through Sydney to the world-famous Bondi Beach.

Here are a few products that can help you before, during and after this event!

PREPARE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER CITY2SURF: BEFORE THE RUN

Preparation for any race starts months in advance. Every workout is designed to better your training, better your times, better your confidence.

Although preparation is largely down to your own efforts and endeavours, everyone needs a little bit of help.

For example, using an Activating Muscle Rub, before, during and after City2Surf will fire up your muscles but also help them recover. This means that you can achieve marginal gains through every session!

PREPARE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER CITY2SURF: DURING

Salt-water can sometimes dry out your skin, leaving it feeling chapped and sore. This can be a problem when you are running near the coast. What if I were to tell you that you could stop this from happening? This can be done before, during and after City2Surf. Simply apply Protective Moisturising Spray to areas you find get affected easily. Using a spray is best because it allows lightweight coverage meaning you’ll feel protected without feeling too oily.

PREPARE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER CITY2SURF: DURING

Australia is a HOT country, and if you’re like me, breathing can be hard in hot countries – even if it is their winter!

However, I found out this AMAZING hack: If you rub on a Vapour Release Balm before going on a run, your airways will be opened, making the 14km run a bit easier!

PREPARE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER CITY2SURF: AFTER

Running 14km might not be the longest distance, but if you’re like me, the sea air can really take it out of you! This means that it is paramount you take time to recover.

If you really want to relax and recover properly, try using a Cooling Recovery Body wash. Ingredients such as Peppermint and Jasmine are designed to help you relax and increases blood flow so that your muscles recover.

Four of the top activities for family bonding.

Summer is here, the sun is out and the commotion is just about to commence!

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of the heat, everyone can get a bit carried away and we can forget the important things: spending time with the family! Here are some the best summer activities for the family that you can enjoy both on holiday and here in Blighty!  The only trouble you’re going to have is the question of which sport you are going to choose…

SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR THE FAMILY: Rounders

This British classic is perfect to enjoy with cucumber sandwiches and a nice jug of Pimm’s (obviously for those who can have it!)

Rounders is a perfect game to play with children because of the easy rules and is definitely a lot of fun. If you can’t remember, just think back to P.E. lessons at school for a lovely trip down memory lane!

If you’re looking for summer activities for the family with a bit more competition, Rounder’s is essentially what you make it: a good bit of family fun or a full-on family tournament. If you want a bit of a competitive edge, studies have shown that applying vapour rub to your wrists can increase the accuracy of throwing and catching- all fair in love and a good game of Rounders!

SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR THE FAMILY: Frisbee

Frisbee is one of the ultimate summer activities for the family because it can be played on grass and on the sand. Frisbee, for me, is the epitome of my childhood when at the beach. Essentially, the aim of the game is to throw the Frisbee around your group without the disk hitting the ground. Frisbee is the perfect game for the family because it has that competitive atmosphere but is too much fun to end in family feuds!

Sometimes, to make sure the Frisbee doesn’t hit the ground, it can involve a lot of jumping and diving on the floor. Straining yourself to catch a flying disk can be strangely trying so it is useful to keep a muscle rub nearby to keep muscles loose and nimble.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR THE FAMILY: Volleyball

Volleyball is one of the amazing summer activities for the family that you can play on the beach or in the water and is perfect for any highly competitive family. Although professional rules of volleyball appear complicated, easier takes on the game are similar to Frisbee: try to stop the ball from hitting the ground as long as possible.

I used to prefer playing Volleyball on land because the chlorine in the water makes my skin dry and flaky. This was before I found out that using the right moisturiser could be an absolute lifesaver! Using a non-greasy moisturiser is perfect for keeping your skin soft and supple after being in the pool, meaning that you can get involved in summer activities for the family both on and off the water.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR THE FAMILY: Walking

Not all summer activities for the family need to be competitive. Sometimes just going for a leisurely stroll with your family on holiday can be a great way to bond. Walking is definitely a good summer activity to try if you are staying in Britain because of the beautiful scenery our island has to offer!

Don’t underestimate leisurely strolls though! Walking can also be a very sweaty workout, especially in hot temperatures so a nice shower afterwards is always appreciated. If you’re like me and need a shower to cool down but don’t actually like the water being cold, a cooling body wash can be a great way to feel fresh and can also help your body recover!

So here are just a few of some of the amazing summer activities for the family that you can get involved in over the sunny period! Regardless of whether you want summer activities for the family just for fun or to get a little competitive, it is always good to have products that will help your performance. Products by Bullet and Bone incorporate natural ingredients that help give you that special edge during every workout!

I never used to be one for tennis. At school, I’d always offer to collect the balls because I knew I couldn’t hit any. Whenever Wimbledon came around, I’d get out the strawberries and cream and Pimms. It wasn’t until recently that I found out learning how to improve your tennis performance is a lot easier than you think.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR TENNIS PERFORMANCE: ACCURACY

When serving during tennis, accuracy is the most important thing you can bring to the table – or in this case, court. When wanting to know how to improve your tennis performance, it may be nice to hear that you can improve this skill from the comfort of your own back garden!

Simply trying to hit a certain target repeatedly will help you more than you think! Obviously, the more targets you pick, the harder the drill will be, but this will only help you improve.

If you want an extra piece of help when wanting to know how to improve your tennis performance, using certain products can help. Studies have shown that rubbing vapour balm on your temples and wrists can increase the accuracy of hits – so maybe this is worth a try!

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR TENNIS PERFORMANCE: POWER

Once you have accuracy pinned down, the next skill to drill when learning how to improve your tennis performance is power! With serves in professional tournaments reaching over 100 mph, wanting to make your serves and shots better can feel quite daunting, but here is a little pro tip:

Regardless of whether you want to improve your forehand or backhand, your technique needs to be clean, but muscle strength also needs to be sharp! The key is to focus on your arms and shoulders, and this could be through resistance bands or hitting the weights in the gym!

Either way, it’s about helping those muscles fire. Sometimes, for the extra kick, using an activating muscle rub can get your muscles starting- allowing for a better workout.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR TENNIS PERFORMANCE: FITNESS

If you saw Daniel Evans play against Joao Sousa last week at Wimbledon, you saw that some games can last over 3 and a half hours! From this, I think it is clear that fitness is paramount when wanting to know how to improve your fitness performance!

My favourite way to improve fitness is HIIT workouts. These forms of workouts are perfect whilst trying to see how to improve your tennis performance because they can range from easy to difficult.

Obviously, these intense workouts can really bring out a sweat, so always shower! Your muscle will also be soar so using a body wash designed to help muscles recover will be helpful if you want to train multiple days in a row!

Now I’m not saying I’m the next Serena Williams, but using these tricks when wanting to know how to improve your tennis performance will definitely get you on the right tracks! My tennis journey has really been helped by Bullet and Bone products- the fact that they use entirely natural ingredients means that I can improve my performance without the worry of putting nasty chemicals on my body.
